Note for mods: I tried but I'm not sure how well I adhered to this challenge. I really struggle to mute colours. Please feel free to disqualify and all icons if you feel they don't fit the theme.
EDIT: Hopefully this has now been fixed (but still feel free to disqualify any icons you feel don't fit) 🤞🏽

Why, you can try it with those icons, and keep those as alts, I have colorful alts for all of mine, but I did not include them in my post. You simply have to save them with a new filename, such as adding the word Muted at the end, and then change your icons in this post with the muted version. Until the mod post the voting, we can always change something in our icons, so you should have the time to try.

I guess I didn't realise I could change my submission once it had been posted. Thanks again for the advice, I did what you suggested and I think they're a lot closer to the theme now. That Matt icon is still too vibrant IMO but hopefully it's not so blatantly non-compliant anymore 😅

I guess you left the grey layer to Normal, I'm sorry I should have specified that to mute the color, you have to set the layer to Color, or it will also affect the lighting of the icon. You would have better results.

Yeah I left it to normal and then tweaked a few adjustment layers (some selective color and level layers mainly).

No worries at all, I should have had the foresight to play with the layer modes. Counting this as a lesson learned.
