Modly Poll

Would anyone mind if I entered the challenges too? I know I pick the themes but I do take suggestions and I don't actually pick the screencaps, plus all voting is open...

[Poll #2061087]

I'll close the poll in a couple of days, just want to be pretty fair about this :)

I think it's fair to say you're cool with that, thanks!

I don't see why you shouldn't! Even though you choose the themes it's not like there's going to be double standards, imho, because practically everything would stay the same? The themes have always been affordable not sure if this is the right word but you got me for everyone and I'm sure it won't change in the future. Plus, you're one of fairest people EVER so nobody would ever doubt @ the way the community's taken care of. It's in very good hands. :D So, ABSOLUTELY YES!

Now, that's a resounding endorsement if I ever saw one.

I was asking myself the same question in my comm.

You don't even have any problem at all, since your voting is public, so you can't cheat there and everyone can verify that you aren't, if anyone ever doubted you.

In my comm, it's private, and I understand people want it to stay that way. That means that I could, in theory, cheat on the voting results. Not that I see any sense in that - I make icons for the fun of it, not to win.

To make it as transparent as possible in my comm, I post the number of votes to the winner posts (summed up, without names).

I'd say 100% ok for you to participate, because
1) the voting is open
2) I fully trust that you wouldn't pick challenges based on what you think you could beat everyone at. they've been really well varied to this point and I'm sure they would continue being so in the future
3) there are like 10 voters and a handful of people entering each challenge so who even cares who wins :p I sure don't. the fun of icontests is just doing the challenge, the voting is kind of just extra. I don't mind it but it doesn't interest me enough to care about whether or not you have an advantage
and most importantly
4) the mod is the one who does so much work for the comm to exist so honestly to me it seems more unfair if the mod can't enter something they made happen with their own work.
