CHALLENGE 153: With a Little Help From My Friends

This challenge is all about celebrating friendships, so your icons need to show friends together. It's the last challenge before we go on hiatus until November, so I'd love to see a great turnout!

This is also the fourtheenth of our themed all caps challenges, where you can use any cap posted at capspiration (up to and including 24th July) to make your icons.

CHALLENGE 151: Opposites Attract 2.0

Going back to Challenge 056 here, the challenge is to create pairs of icons showing opposite elements. One bright and one dark icon, one greyscale/muted icon and one vibrant icon, one simple and one complex icon, one with huge text and one with tiny text, etc.

For this challenge only you can create up to 8 icons (4 pairs).

CHALLENGE 150: ALL CAPS 5.0

This is a repeat of several previous challenges, where your only restriction is that you must use caps that have been posted at capspiration at some point! Now's your chance to dig out caps you wanted to use in previous challenges but they weren't in the correct selection for that challenge.

As this is a special challenge with a LOT caps, please include the fandoms you are iconning somewhere in your post, so I can check that all icons use valid images.

Also for this challenge you can make up to 8 icons!

CHALLENGE 148: Diagonal

CHALLENGE 146: Navy

Welcome to the new capicontest on DreamWidth! I thought we would start off with a relatively simple challenge and focus on one colour – namely, navy blue! It doesn't have to be the only colour in your icon(s), or even the main colour, but every icon made for this challenge should show navy/dark blue somewhere.

CHALLENGE 145: DO IT YOURSELF!

Going through my old posts in order to make the move to DW I was reminded of all the wonderful challenges that were around over the years! Hence this challenge, inspired by 20inspirations: DIY!

For this challenge you won’t be able to use textures or brushes…unless you make them of course! Only the basic tools available in the software you’re using are allowed. That doesn’t mean you have to restrain your creativity, on the contrary. Why not try out this scary but cool filter, make your own lighting textures and backgrounds, or rediscover some forgotten fonts? The possibilities are endless!

CHALLENGE 141: FAKE COLOUR

Whether it’s with a gradient or with paint, whether it’s a complete transformation of the original screencap or more subtle adjustments here and there, this challenge is about playing with fake colours!
