[livejournal.com profile] luminousdaze has pointed out that although the challenge theme is 'chiaroscuro', the definition and examples used in the challenge post are more along the lines of 'tenebrism' than strictly 'chiaroscuro'.

I wasn't aware of this distinction before, so I will accept any icons that follow the theme of either tenebrism or chiaroscuro.

Just a brief reminder for people to tag their entries properly, or they may be missed out of voting :/

Correct format is: challenge 023, maker: novindalf, ~entries

Thanks!

Would anyone mind if I entered the challenges too? I know I pick the themes but I do take suggestions and I don't actually pick the screencaps, plus all voting is open...

[Poll #2061087]

I'll close the poll in a couple of days, just want to be pretty fair about this :)

I think it's fair to say you're cool with that, thanks!

Hi guys, I'm your new mod here at [livejournal.com profile] capicontest!

I'm waiting for some computer issues to be fixed at my end but then challenges will resume as soon as possible. In the mean time I thought I'd say hi and let you know about a couple of changes I'll be making to the comm, as well as open up for any suggestions you may have.

1) Challenges will be bi-weekly instead of weekly, to give participants more time to enter.
2) All the screencaps valid for each challenge will now be included in the post.

Challenge 017: Heating Up is now closed and voting will be going up shortly!

Feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments to this post :)

Good Morning!

I've had quite an interesting week, and as such have neglected my modly duties of [livejournal.com profile] capicontest. That said, I ask that any members willing to enter, please do so. I would like to extend Challenge #016 - Keep It Simple until 6 pm EST today. That gives about seven more hours to enter.

I would also like to set up a future challenges list and a schedule that works so anyone entering has a better idea of what to expect. Do not be surprised by an influx of posts, although I do apologize to your F-Lists. That's all for now!

Hi everyone! I recently started a new job and my spring semester starts on Tuesday. I need to get used to this busy schedule! I don't know how much time I'll be able to devote to [livejournal.com profile] capicontest. If anyone would like to be a co-mod (which right now means you'll be handling challenges every week for a while), leave a comment here. If no one is interested, then the community will be on hiatus for at least a couple weeks, if not longer. I will post the winners for the latest challenge in a few days. Thanks for understanding!
